Nana Dee Orphanage

Between 2019-2022, the Nana Dee Foundation (SL) successfully operated its own purpose built orphanage home (Interim Care Centre) in Sierra Leone, with space for up to 30 orphans between the ages of 0 -18 years old, with a team of trained staff living and working on site. The Nana Dee Orphanage upheld an emphasis on support, care and education for all the children, many of whom were previously living in slums and working as street traders to make money, all whilst uncared for.

Nana Dee Foundation (SL) is registered with the Sierra Leonean Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children's Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Economic Development and Sierra Leone Association of Non-Governmental Organisations (SLANGO).

In 2022 the decision was made to temporarily close the Nana Dee Orphanage due to pressures from Covid-19 and staff resourcing.
